Organic Heirloom Tomatoes

Farm Fresh and Certified Organic

If you are looking for a great tasting tomato, look no further than an heirloom. Their vibrant colors, intense flavor and unique beauty provide a delicious and colorful addition to any culinary affair. Heirloom tomatoes, by definition, are open-pollinated, consistently grown from the same seeds for at least 50 years and are passed from generation to generation. Today there are reportedly more than 7500 heirloom tomatoes listed in the Seed Savers’ Exchange yearbook.

Heirloom tomatoes come in many different sizes – cheery, small, medium and large. Besides more typical red, yellow and orange colors, it’s not uncommon to see black, purple, pink, green, white, and striped heirlooms. As varied as their sizes and colors, so are their unique shapes – from pear, plum and heart shaped to elongated, ruffle topped and ridged varieties.
